Bucktails Class of 2013

2014-Bucktails-Class

The Pennsylvania Bucktails field school celebrated its 7th year in 2013 and continued its tradition of high quality education focusing on white-tailed deer and their habitat. Led by 25 experts, students engaged in hands-on experiences including exploring deer anatomy through dissection and identifying plants that are important to deer and habitat. They also learned valuable communication skills through team building exercises.

Students hailed from 14 different counties and one student traveled from Craven, NC. Two school teachers attended as adult participants and mentors, learning right alongside the students.

Already out in their communities, youth are giving talks at their local sportsman’s clubs, showing their education tri-folds at county fairs and taking photos of the wildlife in their backyards!
